favorite albums of 2010.
alright folks! its that time of year! (actually im late this year) time for my annual list of my personal favorite albums of 2010. once again it was tough narrowing it down and what list started as a top 10 quickly grew to a top 20.

had an awesome CUBA! practice tonight! re working songs we havnt played in years. some we have never played live. i feel a page turning. this new ep is probably as folky as we have gotten…since sounds like a story. trying to stay more cohesive and not as diverse this time around. going back to the roots so to speak.
i feel so lucky to be in not one but TWO great bands with talented...

yes, its that time of year again. time to look back at all the wonderfull music that was created in that past year. i started making a list and soon found it was going to be a long one. any day now...
my life is pending on so many things right now. and i am not so concerned with whether or not all of them pan out…as much as whether i survive. my head is like a puddle of water evaporating in the sun. i feel like any day now i could evaporate.

why? why do we even get them if a large percentage of us have to have them taken out anyway. and the small percentage that gets to keep them…doesnt even use them. sounds like a waste of time a space if you ask me.

so i am way to nice to people sometimes. its a problem. i guess its only a problem when people notice it and take advantage of it. its ok when you come across people that want to be equally as nice back.
so my co-workers have definately noticed it. ive done everything for so long i dont blame them for always pushing their job(s) on me. if i wasnt as nice, id do it too.

trying to get this local video series of bands rolling…it was really a rip off idea from the “take away shows” (thank you xtina). but the idea is to have local bands play their songs unplugged around terre haute, indiana. focusing on yearbook committee ‘73 and cuba right now but would love for other bands outside the genre of folk to go folk it up for the cause. oh yeah the...

all i want to do is play music. this weekend confirmed that. i can only wonder the where the music would go if time would allow us to just play. day jobs are getting old. we hope to make a nice little demo pack with a couple songs from nashville (the rock) and a couple songs from farmersburg (the indie). i think it will be a nice taste of what we do. then send it out to some hand picked indie...

sleep part deux.
here i am in nashville. its almost 5am (6am at home) and we are back at the hotel after hours of mixing and a full day of recording. we spent 34 of the last 50 hrs in that studio. i could live there. so i am going to stay awake and get us out of nashville (and make sure we dont sleep in) by 5:30 am. then let jimmy will drive once we are out of town (jimmy is scared of the trailer) ( i love...
i heart nashville.
so we are in the studio right now doing mixing! we have spent close to 30 hrs of the past 48 in this studio….and i dont want leave! we’re are gonna be here late tonight finishing up. im am all kinds of excited with these songs. cant wait to share them!!!!

so i got a call back from a job in indianapolis. they are based out of fort collins, colorado. +10 cool points. i told him i loved their beer (fat tire). ok not really. beer wouldnt be on my top 5 things to bring up in a phone interview. in any case, he asked me what i would need to make to come work for them.
