all i want to do is play music. this weekend confirmed that. i can only wonder the where the music would go if time would allow us to just play. day jobs are getting old. we hope to make a nice little demo pack with a couple songs from nashville (the rock) and a couple songs from farmersburg (the indie). i think it will be a nice taste of what we do. then send it out to some hand picked indie labels that we feel would take care of us. we’ll see. i have always known that i will play music till im old and falling apart..whether or not its in my garage or a studio in nashville.
im going to really try and push cuba & yearbook committee ‘73 (both of which i have alot of faith in) this year and next. we need someone to help with booking/managing. it has become apparent that i cant do it all anymore.
ive been thinking about recording school. A WHOLE LOT. it only took our friend brad 9 months to get a tech degree and start working at sony working his way up. (hes only been there since oct. and we’ll just say he’s doing pretty good). i watched him thinking how id love to be doing that. recording our own stuff one day.
im going to really give the freelance stuff a push this summer and fall. really see how much i can make by just doing that. then i could take classes. its something else to add to my plate, i guess:) there i go again.
im going to get off here and have pete seeger teach me skip to my lou on the banjo.
