all my mistakes

the following should probably be considered the way NOT to do things.
life lessons and ramblings from a guy that has no idea what is his doing.

Favorite Albums of 2009

yes, its that time of year again. time to look back at all the wonderfull music that was created in that past year. i started making a list and soon found it was going to be a long one. ALOT of good music came out in ‘09! i find it hopefull after watching a rather disgusting 15 minutes of the american music awards. it was all about the dancers, their outfits, and who showed who up by doing something “controversial” anyways i was put in a much better mood after reviewing this list. please let me know if i missed any. im know i tend to forget  some things from time to time.

1. Avett Brothers - I and Love and You [while i have sentimental issues with this album now, its just a fantastic album by a fantastic band. plain and simple. i love these guys.]
2. Patrick Watson - Wooden Arms [this album blew me away. he took it up a level with this one. cant wait to hear what they write next.]
3. Andrew Bird - Noble Beast [spent weeks in my cd player. not as strong as ‘armchair’ (in my opinion) but a great album none the less.
4. Bon Iver - Blood Bank [i am so thanksful to have found this guy this year. while ‘for emma’ was the album that pulled me in, this was a nice little teaser hold me over till the next album.
5. Ida Maria - Fortress Round My Heart [OH MY GOD! another blip.fm find. this album grows and grows and grows on you. though the rest of the guys in cuba would not agree:)]
6. Beruit - March of the Zapotec [thanks to christina for turning me on to these guys last year. i find myself going thru phases where all i want to hear is Beruit. another one that the boys in cuba would not agree with:)]
7. Passion Pit - Manners [came out of no where! LOVE this album. makes me want to throw a dance party. (i am still game people/lets do this!)
8. Fanfarlo - Reservoir [thanks to a newletter from sigur ros for this band! literally stayed in my cd player for 3 months]
